Medical Receptionist – Specialist Hearing Healthcare Practice
Location: Bryanston, Gauteng
Working Hours: Monday – Friday | 08:00 – 16:30
Start Date: As soon as possible
Salary: Market Related
About the Opportunity
Medical Resources Group is recruiting on behalf of our client, a well-established specialist hearing healthcare practice in Bryanston, for a professional and compassionate Medical Receptionist.
This role is ideally suited to a candidate with experience in a medical practice environment, who is highly organised, patient-focused, and comfortable working with patients requiring ongoing care and support.
The successful candidate will play a key role in managing front-office operations, patient interactions, and medical administration in a structured and patient-centred environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage patient bookings and diary coordination
- Welcome and assist patients in a professional and compassionate manner
- Handle incoming calls and patient enquiries
- Manage patient accounts, billing, and medical aid queries
- Assist with medical aid authorisations and follow-ups
- Perform general administrative and reception duties
- Maintain accurate patient records and filing systems
- Provide exceptional patient care, particularly in a sensitive healthcare setting
Minimum Requirements
- Matric / Grade 12 (Essential)
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a medical reception or healthcare administration role
- Experience with medical billing and medical aid processes
- Strong computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Experience with Syspro (Advantageous)
- Fully bilingual (Afrikaans and English)
- Valid driver’s license and own reliable transport
- Clear criminal record (background checks will be conducted)

Remuneration & Benefits
- Market-related salary
- Provident Fund: 12% employer contribution (includes risk cover benefits)
- Medical Aid Contribution: Partial contribution
- Quarterly performance bonuses
- 15 days annual leave
- Additional closure period over the December holiday period (not deducted from leave)
Additional Information
- Training will be provided at Head Office (Pretoria) for approximately 2 weeks
- The role requires a strong focus on patient care, particularly in a specialised healthcare environment
