Minimum Requirements:

MBChB/MBBCh (or equivalent).
HPCSA registration as a Medical Practitioner with Independent Practice.
Relevant malpractice/professional indemnity insurance, including A&E/ED cover.
Basic experience in emergency medicine.

Current certifications or within 6 months of employment:
ATLS or EMATT
ACLS or ACLS(EP)
PALS or PALS(EP) or APLS
Highly Recommended: Dip PEC(SA), Ultrasound Level 1, and proficiency in MS Office.

Responsibilities:

Provide high-quality emergency care in alignment with HPCSA guidelines.
Manage patient care in emergency units, participate in on-call rosters, and assist in in-hospital resuscitations.
Maintain comprehensive patient records and attend regular practice meetings.
Participate in continuous professional development, including mandatory short course currency and peer reviews.
