About the Opportunity
Medical Resources Group is recruiting on behalf of our client for a motivated and results-driven Medical Billing Bureau Sales Representative to join their team in Durban.
The successful candidate will grow the company's specialist medical practice client base across South Africa by identifying new business opportunities, engaging with specialist medical practitioners and practice managers, and promoting comprehensive medical billing bureau services.
This is a target-driven position requiring excellent communication, networking, presentation, and relationship-building skills. The successful candidate will manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting and lead generation through to presenting solutions, negotiating agreements, closing deals, and handing newly signed practices over for implementation.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Sales
Identify and target specialist medical practices requiring medical billing bureau services.
Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve monthly and annual sales targets.
Generate qualified leads through networking, referrals, cold calling, digital platforms, and industry research.
Conduct face-to-face and virtual presentations with prospective clients.
Prepare tailored proposals and quotations based on client requirements.
Negotiate terms and successfully close new business opportunities.
Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline.
Represent the company at industry events, conferences, networking functions, and exhibitions.
Attend meetings with internal departments to identify potential sales opportunities, referrals, and new business leads.
Collaborate with operational teams to identify practices that may benefit from the company's services.
Practice Onboarding
Coordinate the handover of newly signed practices to the implementation team.
Assist with gathering required onboarding documentation.
Ensure all relevant client information is accurately communicated to the implementation team.
Support a smooth transition from the sales process to implementation.
Reporting & Administration
Prepare and submit daily sales activity reports.
Post daily sales statistics and performance metrics to the designated company communication platform.
Report on pipeline activity, conversion rates, and overall sales performance.
Track key sales metrics and identify areas for improvement.
Maintain accurate records of meetings, follow-ups, quotations, and sales opportunities.
Minimum Requirements
Essential
2–3 years' proven experience in business development or external sales.
Proven track record of consistently achieving sales targets.
Excellent presentation and negotiation skills.
Strong networking and relationship-building abilities.
Highly self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Valid driver's licence.
Own reliable vehicle.
Willingness and ability to travel.
Advantageous
Experience selling services into the healthcare or medical industry will be highly advantageous.
